Frequently Asked Questions
At Millenia Dental Health, we want you to have clear information before making decisions about your care.
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes. Millenia Dental Health welcomes new patients of different ages, including children, teens, adults, and families. Call us at (407) 246-0104 or contact our office to schedule your first visit.
What happens during my first dental visit?
Your first visit gives us time to learn about your dental and medical history, discuss any concerns, and evaluate your oral health. Depending on your needs, the appointment include a clinical examination, digital X-rays, an oral cancer screening, gum evaluation, and other appropriate records. We will explain our findings and discuss any recommended care before moving forward.
How often should I visit the dentist?
There is no single schedule that is right for everyone. How often you need exams, cleanings, or periodontal care depends on factors such as your oral health, cavity risk, gum condition, previous treatment, and medical history. We recommend a schedule based on what we find rather than automatically using the same interval for every patient.
Are digital dental X-rays safe?
Digital dental X-rays use a small amount of ionizing radiation, so we take them only when they are clinically appropriate. The type and frequency of imaging depend on your age, oral health, symptoms, previous records, and the information needed to evaluate your teeth and supporting structures.
Do you provide emergency dental care?
Yes. We provide emergency dental services for concerns such as significant tooth pain, swelling, broken teeth, dental injuries, or other problems that need prompt attention. Contact our office as soon as possible so we can determine the appropriate next step and discuss appointment availability.
What should I do if I suddenly develop a toothache?
Contact us so the cause can be evaluated. Until your appointment, you can gently rinse with warm salt water, keep the area clean, and avoid chewing on the affected tooth if doing so causes discomfort. If you normally can take over-the-counter pain medication safely, follow the product directions.
Is it normal for my gums to bleed when I brush or floss?
Occasional irritation can occur, but repeated bleeding should not simply be considered normal. Bleeding gums are often associated with inflammation from plaque buildup and may occur with gingivitis or periodontitis. An examination can help determine why your gums are bleeding and what type of care may be appropriate.
Do you provide orthodontic treatment for children and adults?
Yes. Our orthodontic services include early orthodontics for children approximately 7–11 years old, teen orthodontics, adult orthodontics, ClearCorrect® aligners for suitable teens and adults, and retainers.
Patients who complete aligner therapy with us also receive free retainers and whitening after treatment is completed.
What technology do you use?
Our office is fully digital. We use digital charts and digital X-rays, and CBCT 3D imaging is available when additional anatomical information is clinically useful.
Technology helps us gather and review information, but we use it selectively according to what is actually needed for diagnosis or treatment planning.
Do you accept dental insurance or offer payment plans?
We work with dental insurance coverage and offer Cherry Payment Plans for eligible treatment. Our team can help explain available financial options and provide cost information before treatment begins. Depending on your insurance plan you might be reimbursed directly from insurance.
